powerMELA - Mobile power electronics and drive technology for vehicles and machines

As part of an ongoing cooperative project, Sensor-Technik Wiedemann GmbH is developing the components for the hybrid drive system powerMELA®. The powerMELA® system is used to realise hybrid diesel/electric drives in off-highway vehicles and mobile working machines. Additionally, the system offers an open power supply network for powering auxiliary machinery and external appliances. Surplus energy is saved to a battery and can be subsequently used for other demands. This outstanding innovation is particularly relevant in the face of increasing energy costs and ecological requirements.

ESX®-IOXp Print

esx-ioxpNew ESX®-IOXp electonic control unit

As the second member of the low-cost control product family, Sensor-Technik Wiedemann is proud to introduce the ESX®-IOXp electronic control unit for mobile applications. Last year saw the introduction of the ESX®-IOX I/O module with CAN bus and CANopen. The ESX®-IOXp is a fully-fledged freely programmable control unit with 2 independent CAN interfaces and an additional RS232 interface. Programming takes place in the widely accepted CoDeSys development environment from 3S-Smart Software Solutions in accordance with the international programming standard IEC 61131-3. This makes possible an easy and efficient familiarization and exceedingly simple and fast realization of control functions. The ESX®-IOXp control unit offers a large number of inputs and outputs inexpensively, and is protected against over-voltage and reversed polarity.

M01-CAN Print

m01-canSTW’s latest pressure transmitter, the M01-CAN, was especially developed for automotive, off-highway applications.

The wetted parts, the complete sensor element welded to the pressure connections, are made of stainless steel and compatible with a wide range of media. Possible pressure ranges are from 25 to 800 bar. An integrated damping element is also available. The standard electrical connection is a M12 connector, but other connectors, including customer specific versions are possible.
